Which One Is Better – Windows 8.1 or Windows 10
We’ve come to a point where we most certainly know that in all aspects of an operating system, Windows operating systems have become quicker, stabler and more resilient than most of the operating systems. So, we decided to compare two of the most know, most recent operating systems, Windows 8.1 and Window, to help you choose the best one. We have taken the criteria to be the boot speed, to check which of the two is faster than the other! So, let’s jump into comparing the best of bests!
Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 are pretty speedy in terms of the boot process. But when we tested them, the Windows facial recognition helped it by providing a bit of cushion to place its bets on, making it a bit faster than Windows 8. But we highly doubt if any camera other than Intel Real Sense 3D camera will be able to capture what Windows 10 needs. However, Windows 10 was a split second faster than Windows 8.1, for it does not require for you to actually log in, but automatically takes into the user account once you sit in front of the computer. We are almost certain that the Intel Real Sense will be made the default, mandatory webcam of the upcoming generations of Windows 10, making it even simpler and permanent for the faster log in! Having said all these, we don’t think Windows 8.1 Is in any way slower. The facial recognition technology alone helped Windows to make it ahead of Windows 8.1 and be the faster one, and if not for it, they wouldn’t have had any differences!
Having said all this, if at all you’re facing issues like slower boot up, these might be the reasons for it:
- The computer was running for a long time without a reboot.
- Not Enough of Free Hard Drive Space
- Hard drive corrupted or fragmented
- Too Many Background programs
- The Computer is Infected with a Virus or Malware
- Hardware conflicts and outdated drivers
- Computer or processor is overheating
- The PC requires a Memory upgrade
