But to support, or to compliment the already established Instant messenger tool, the Skype, the company has also come up with Lync! With a plethora of features, Lync is now the new tool for all office meeting, and is being used for various purposes, apart from business alone!
Here are a few features of Lync, as provided by the Microsft’s (Microsoft) customer support desk!
Advanced call features: team ring, call forwarding, simultaneous ring, voice mail, call park, call delegation, response groups, and remote call control (not available with all Office 365 subscriptions)
- Calendar delegation
- Gallery video view
- OneNote sharing
- Remote Desktop Services (RDS) (not available with Office 365)
- Skill search (not available with Office 365)
- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) (not available with Office 365)
- To find out if you’re using Lync Basic, do one of the following:
- Open Lync. If you’re using Lync Basic, you’ll see Lync Basic at the top of the Lync main window.
Click the Start button > Move on to Control Panel >and reach up to Programs and Features, and look for the Microsoft Lync listing. If you’re using Lync Basic, you’ll see Microsoft Lync Basic 2013.
